How my journey began
In my late teens and collage years I was faced with a multitude of emotional changes in my life that I would eventually learn were milestones and transition points from my younger years into adulthood. At that time I often found my doubts and fears to be met with the statement "You'll figure it out kid, just like the rest of us had to." However, this phrase always left me feeling more lost than comforted. There were of course adults that I confided in who provided sound advice, yet I would still leave conversations feeling lost and wondering how to take action toward my future. The problem was that I didn't quite know what I wanted the future to look like yet.
What major would I study in school? What job fields are right for me? How do I learn to navigate life while living away from my family? Where do I make friends in this new place? What am I supposed to do now? What am I going to do with my life?
Eventually I came to the conclusion that I was the only person who was going to be able to answer these questions with certainty. I researched, talked to peers, consulted advisors, and utilized resources that my university offered, including mental health counseling and eventually things started to click. I was beginning to understand the "whys and how’s" to my questions and little by little started to take action toward achieving my goals. At this point I began working with coaches and spiritual healers that not only offered unique perspectives, but also provided me with techniques and practices to help me make progress toward my goals.
I later learned from conversations with peers that my journey was not entirely unique. There is a gap in support for young adults as they transition into adulthood. I realized we needed help learning how to set goals and create actionable plans that would support us in moving through life transitions. I began researching these topics and discovered the life coaching industry. After reading about the ways in which a life coach can support you in changing your life, I was sold. I knew this was what I had to do. I had to become a coach, but not just any coach, a coach that will focus on life transitions and challenges of young adults. Fast forward, today I am a Certified Life Coach. Thanks to my education at The Life Purpose Institute, I have learned skills and techniques that college me would have been thrilled to have in my tool kit as I was preparing to launch.
I have created my business, Coaching to Confidence, as a space where students and young adults can come to for support as they navigate their own challenges and life transitions. Through one-on-one coaching engagements I support clients in identifying, planning, and taking action on their goals. We walk through not just the emotional sides of making changes in your life, but also the practical sides so we can create a plan for your future that you are excited to work on. Learning these skills helped me to shift my mindset from "I'll never be able to do that. I'm not good enough. That's impossible" to "I can achive anything I set my mind to. I can overcome any challenges I face and I am worthy of creating the life I desire." If these shifts sound like something you want to work on then you've come to the right place!

Together we will collaborate on the creation of the life you desire. The question is, are you ready?
